Richard Duzan

Richard has been an elder at the Newark church since 1983. Originally from Odessa, Texas. He and his wife, Andy, were married when they both graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1967. They moved to Newark, where he taught in schools in New Castle and Newark. Together, they have five sons, five daughters-in-law, and seventeen grandchildren.

Bennett Foster

Born in 1949 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he earned bachelors and masters degrees in engineering from Virginia Tech and was employed by the Dupont Company for over 30 years. He married his wife Dale in 1970 and they have three children. 
He was baptized at the Church of Christ at Wilmington
(North Carolina) in 1973.

Joe GiuBardo

Became an elder in May 2008. Joe and Sue have been members of the Newark church since 1998.  They live in Elkton, Maryland.  Joe and Sue came to Christ through a campus ministry at Colorado State University.  Both Joe and Sue are skilled chefs and love to share their talent with our church family and have two children.

Ira Lockwood

Ira, Kari, and Zaden Lockwood have lived in Newark for the last 14 years. Ira remembers meeting Andy Duzan for the first time when he was visiting during a job interview, and it was a great welcome to the church here! They have also been blessed to watch Zaden grow and mature in Christ among the community of believers in our congregation. Ira works as a mechanical engineer for a small manufacturer in Newark, and Kari works as a hospice social worker for patients and families facing end of life challenges. They have been married 22 years and are thankful to God for his steadfast love that always remains. Ira enjoys teaching, working in the children's ministry, and playing soccer on occasion. Before moving to Delaware, Ira and Kari worked as church planters in Vienna, Austria. 

Harold Friedline

Harold and Gail have been long time members of the Newark Church of Christ. Harold has a background in Computer Information Systems and Risk Management.
