Rex Butts, wife Laura, and children Caryn, and Jared
K. Rex Butts will be our Minister effective March 25, and he joins the Newark congregation “on our journey to experience Jesus together.”
The family expects to move to Newark in May, soon after the school term ends in Missouri.
Rex received his Bachelor of Ministry from Harding University, his Master of Divinity from Harding School of Theology, and is currently pursuing his D.Min (Doctor of Ministry) through Northern Seminary in Lisle, Illinois. He has also partnered with the Mission Alive Organization for church planting, spiritual renewal, and creative outreach.
He believes that “Ultimately, serving as a minister is about helping people as a follower of Jesus” and he brings a bold and enthusiastic passion to share the gospel and to help the lost experience the love and freedom found only in Jesus.
Rusty Jordan, his wife Anndea, four sons Samuel, Andy, Asher, & Hezekiah and daughter Eleanor moved to Newark July 2015.
