Richard has been an elder at the Newark church since 1983. Originally from Odessa, Texas. He and his wife, Andy, were married when they both graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1967. They moved to Newark, where he taught inschools in New Castle and Newark. Together, they have five sons, five daughters-in-law, and fifteen grandchildren.
Born in 1949 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he earned bachelors and masters degrees in engineering from Virginia Tech and was been employed by the Dupont Company for over 30 years. He married his wife Dale in 1970, have three children and was baptized at the Church of Christ at Wilmington (North Carolina) in 1973.
Has been an elder since May 2005. He was born and raised in Avondale, Pa. He and his wife, Wendy, have been married for 28 years and have two children. He enjoys personal evangelism, teaching adult Bible studies and worship/song leading. He believes it is important to center the church's assembly time of worship around the preaching & exposition of the God's Word.
Became an elder in May 2008. Joe and Sue have been members of the Newark church since 1998. They live in Elkton, MD. Joe and Sue came to Christ through a campus ministry at Colorado State University. Both Joe and Sue are skilled chefs and love to share their talent with our church family and have two children.
Been an elder at the Newark church since 1999. He is the only native Delawarean among our elders. Born in New Castle in 1950, Barry grew up Catholic, but rarely attended services. He went on from Northeastern to earn his bachelors degree at Oklahoma Christian College. He spent several years in British Honduras after a mission trip there after graduation.
